Shredded Chicken Tacos

Ingredients:

  • 3 chicken breasts; cleaned and trimmed 
  • 1 16 ounce jar of green salsa (I used Kroger brand)
  • 1/2 jar water (use the empty salsa jar)
  • 3/4 packet of Old ElPaso taco seasoning (use the rest to flavor spanish rice)
Directions:

Place chicken in a large crockpot, sprinkle with taco seasoning and cover with salsa and water. Cook on high for 1 hour then switch to low for 2 hours, check temperature on chicken and if cooked through shred on a plate and put back in the crockpot. Turn the heat off if you're not going to eat within an hour or leave on low and allow to sit for about 30 minutes.
