Best Lasagna in the Entire World! (At least my sweet husband thinks so!)
DO NOT BOIL THE NOODLES!
Lasagna
Fills a 9x13 baking dish to feed the whole family and then some
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees
Ingredients:
Spread about 1 cup of tomato pasta sauce in the bottom and layer 4 noodle horizontally and 1 noodle broken down to about 3/4 of the size to fit vertically in the side of the dish where the other 4 noodles wont reach.
Spread half of the cheese mixture over top of the noodles, I use my hands for this and press it down real good carful not to squish out the sauce underneath. Then add a layer of spinach and mushrooms, top with sausage. Pour half of the red pasta sauce and half of the alfredo sauce over top of the sausage and spread around evenly.
Now repeat layers starting with the noodles, I usually have to press them down as far as possible without squishing out all the sauce to make sure there is enough room for the second round of layers. Do not top with lasagna noodles, it's not necessary! We eat it "open face" style!
Cover with tin foil and bake for about 60 minutes. When bubbly and hot remove foil, top with cheese and bake an additional 10 minutes to brown the cheese a little on top.
Serve and inhale! You wont be disappointed I promise!
