Roasted Pumpkin Seeds
The idea of carving pumpkins always sounds more fun than actually digging your hands in all that goop and spending hours with a tiny little knife in a cramped up hand trying to meticulously carve a face in a squash. However there usually is a brighter side to all the silly things we do in life and in this case it's pumpkin seeds, YUM!
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Ingredients:
- Olive oil
- Seasoned salt
- Large grain sea salt
- Garlic powder
Wash the pumpkin seeds in a colander and remove as much of the slime as you can. Move seeds to an adequately sized bowl and season with above ingredients. Use good judgment, coat with just enough olive oil so they wont stick to the pan too badly, and season lightly. Place seeds on a large rimmed cookie sheet and spread them out evenly. Place in your preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes, check seeds, stir and spread out every 15 minutes for the first 30 minutes. Then set your timer for about 8 to 10 minute increments checking and stirring each time until seeds are dry. Allow to cook completely and enjoy.
